Temperance

The Peace Practice draws a monthly tarot card from our favourite deck, The Wild Unknown.  We look at what message the card might hold for us, as a Universal Human Collective, from the perspective of Peace. How might we find Peace in the story unfolding for the month ahead? What do we need to learn to come to this place of Peace?  How do we find Peace within any challenges and messages the card brings?

The December post of our Peaceful Tarot series is Temperance:

The Wild Unknown Tarot, Temperance, The Peaceful Tarot Reading

1st December 2016

From our tears we make the jewels that ultimately adorn our lives. How? Say you. If we allow them to be so precious, the tears we release in one lifetime will shine on our soul as a sapphire reflects the blue of sky and the ocean. There is much energy in a tear. The energy of love, and loss, of happiness, sadness, tragedy, laughter. Much is caught in their reflection and much is learned by tasting the salt in the tracks they leave.

These tears have the ability to restore us to a glory we have not yet known in this incarnation but have known in other worlds and now store the remembrance of, in the firebelly of our soul.

When we are lost we are given the opportunity to release control and trust. If we centre ourselves between the four directions of the wind and stand strong and steadfast. If we stand balanced. If we stand on the edge of the precipice, knowing that we can fly and then place our trust and intuition within the energy grids of the universal force, then we will rise again. We will be supported by the gossamer threads of the cosmos. We will be found. We will regenerate. We will renew. We will move forward.

But it is indeed sometimes difficult to find our centre. The winds never blow even. The North may call us and the West may push us. South may gently cajole and whisper but East may be cold. When we wish to stand in our centre self we must concentrate hard on finding that balance. The balance between all is a fine, very fine line. But if we persevere and we can hold that space - and if we find which side of that line to stand - we will find harmony and we will find healing.

The difficulties experienced by many, this past two years and this year particularly, has caused us to feel desperate and despaired. The Temperance card urges you to use your tears now to activate the fire in your belly again and move towards the end of this year with a regenerated heart, knowing that your tears have bought you to a different space. You are now a different person. You are the same but new. Rise like the legendary phoenix from the ashes of your experience and with your full intention, place yourself in peaceful balance once more.

So as the year of 2016 draws its curtain, place yourself in the arms of the winds of change, feel the fire and adorn your future self with the necklace of the sapphire tears.

With many blessings,

Elaine
